    • When you register for our conference, we process the following data categories:

    • We process the data for the performance of a contract between you and us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  1. When you submit a paper/workshop proposal
    • When you submit a paper/workshop proposal, we process the following data categories:
      1. Login data
      2. Contact data
      3. Details about your paper or workshop a given by you

    • We process the data for the performance of a contract between you and us (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), on your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR and on the basis of our prevailing legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) which is to set up the conference agenda.
  1. When you participate in our event:
    • When you participate in our event, we may take photos or videos of participants during the event. We may publish these photos on our website or other publications for public relations purposes. If you do not want to be photographed, please inform the photographer onsite.
    • We process the data on the basis of our prevailing legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) which is set up in 5.1 (public relations).
  1. Google Web Fonts
    • This website uses Google Web Fonts for a uniform representation of fonts. Google may receive your IP address for technical reasons. On the basis of your IP address Google may determine which websites you visited.
    • We use Google Web Fonts on the basis of our prevailing legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) which is a uniform representation of fonts on our website.

4. Transfer of your personal data

  1. We use no companies until now as data processors.
  2. Apart from above mentioned data processors, we will not disclose your personal data to third parties, except we are required to do so by law.
  3. We do not transfer your personal data to countries outside the Middle East Area (MEA).

5. Retention periods

  1. We store log data for seven days.
  2. In other cases mentioned, we cannot clearly stating the retention period in advance. Your personal data will only be kept for as long as we reasonably consider necessary for achieving the purposes set out under Point 3 above.
  3. We will, in any case, retain your personal data for as long as there are statutory retention obligations or potential legal claims are not yet time-barred.
